Our farm has been a family farm for over 150 years. The
farmhouse was built in 1849 by Colonel W.E. Drummond and the Drummond family
operated the farm for nearly 100 years.
In 1948, Wendell and Irene Russell bought the farm and operated
"Pine Hill Farm," a nationally recognized Jersey dairy farm, until their
retirement in the late 1980s.
Under their grandnephew's family, Steve and Julie Russell,
the farm was converted to organic hay production in 1989.

In 1998,
Kate and
Peter Newkirk bought the farm to grow and
raise organic herbs and vegetables renaming the farm:
WinterGreen herbs and vegetables.
Our Goal is to provide the highest quality certified organic Maine grown herb teas & fresh herbs and vegetables.
